Worcester Regional Airport Director Andrew “Andy” Davis is retiring from his position in July, closing the book on an 18-year tenure as director.

“Andy has been Airport Director for nearly 18 years and has overseen the growth of Worcester Regional Airport during that time,” a Worcester Regional Airport spokesperson wrote to MassLive when confirming Davis’ retirement Monday night via email. “He has been instrumental in the success of the airport.”
Plans to find Davis’ replacement are underway, the spokesperson said.
Davis has been in the aviation industry for more than 40 years, according to his LinkedIn page. He graduated from Hawthorne College in 1982 with a bachelor of science in business administration and aviation management, his profile reads.

From 1983 to 2008, he worked as a general manager for American Airlines, and in December 2008, he became the director for the Worcester Regional Airport, which is part of the Massachusetts Port Authority, according to LinkedIn.
The airport is currently served by JetBlue, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, providing daily commercial service with direct flights to New York and Florida and connections to other domestic and international destinations, according to the airport’s website.
