Littleton resident Kyle Martel has been charged with arson, malicious explosion, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, reckless conduct and criminal mischief, according to Plymouth, New Hampshire, Police Chief Nathan Buffington.
The charges stem from an incident on Pearl Street in Plymouth during the early morning hours of April 19, Plymouth police said in a press release. An officer was sitting in their cruiser while speaking to a civilian out their passenger-side window when the firework landed just a few feet away.

Neither the officer nor the civilian was injured, but the explosion damaged a nearby home, police said. Photos of the incident included in the release show an explosion on a front porch of a home in front of which the cruiser is parked.
Martel pleaded not guilty to a fugitive from justice charge in Ayer District Court on Monday, according to court records. He waived extradition to New Hampshire and is awaiting transport.
